How will I make it through the morning without Regis?

We all knew it was coming eventually, but the world still isn't ready for morning TV without the immortal Regis Philbin.

This morning on "Live With Regis and Kelly," Regis announced that he was leaving the show later this year after 28 years of morning chats, trivia questions and interviews.

Now, this is no surprise, Regis is almost 80, but it still feels wrong. Breakfast just isn't the same without Regis to talk you through it. Also, how will I know what restaurants to visit without hearing about Regis and Joy's night on the town.

Of course talk has immediately turned to who will replace Regis. Lets get one thing straight, Regis is irreplaceable. There will never be anyone else like him.

However, if we're discussing successors the list must automatically include frequent guest hosts Anderson Cooper, Neil Patrick Harris, Mark Consuelos and Cameron Mathison.

But, let's not think about any of that just yet. Right now let's spend the rest of the year celebrating the talk show legacy of Regis Philbin.
