Directors Guild guesses

The Directors Guild of America will announce its nominees for the Best Director prize today. Last year they had a perfect record matching the Academy Awards.

This year is a toughy.

I think it's safe to assume that the one, for sure, in this is David Fincher for "The Social Network."

That leaves four more choices.

Christopher Nolan for "Inception" is one that will probably come up today.

I'm really thinking that the other three nominees will end up being David O. Russell for "The Fighter," Darren Aronofsky for "Black Swan" and Tom Hooper for "The King's Speech."
