The best Irish movies

Since today is St. Patricks Day, I thought that we should talk about the best Irish themed movies Hollywood has brought us.

1. "The Departed"-Martin Scorsese's masterpiece about cops and gangsters in Boston. The film features an all-star cast that includes Matt Damon, Leonardo DiCaprio, Mark Wahlberg and Jack Nicholson in one of his all time best performances.

The sequence where DiCaprio follows Damon to find out if he's the mole is so suspenseful and brilliantly directed that just that segment could have one an Oscar.

2. "The Boondock Saints"-Two Irish brothers stumble into becoming assassins who only kill criminals. Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman Reedus play Connor and Murphy McManus, characters that are so much fun to watch you forget about all the violence and just enjoy the ride.

"We're like 7-11, we're not always doing business, but we're always open." Best. Line. Ever.

3. "Leprechaun 2" (Tim's choice)-When I asked Tim why "Leprechaun," he responded why not. I personally don't see the appeal of these movies, but, Warwick Davis has gotten rich off of them and I'll always give him a pass because of "Willow."

Honorable Mention: Tom Cruise's fantastic accent in "Far and Away." Tom stop doing accents, it's not your thing.
