I'm not sure how many people realized it yesterday, but September 22, 2010 was the sixth anniversary of the series premiere of "LOST."

And to celebrate that, I made a tribute music video. So get your tissues ready. I cried the last few hours I was making this video...

My final thoughts on "LOST"

Sitting in line for Hall H on Saturday morning, I finally finished watching "LOST", after just shy of two months after I started my marathon of the entire series. And my final thought is this: There is no better written show in the history of television than "LOST". Honestly, there are endless things that I could write and talk about with this series. I will only say one thing, and save you readers the trouble of reading another review of "LOST": There are two series that I believe are not only the two best series of all time, but also the best written series of all time. "LOST" and "Battlestar Galactica" (the new one).

Instead of giving you a long review, I decided to just give you guys a list of my favorite episodes and moments over the entire series.

Honestly, there are so many big WTF moments in this series, there is no way I can remember them all. This is a very small list of ones that got an INSANE reaction from me!

All in all, this series is nothing short of extraordinary, and part of me wishes I had been part of it since the beginning. Yet, another part is glad that I didn't watch it until now because I'm sure the anxiety would have killed me at some point during that last six years. Now I, like many others, am excited to watch it all over again when the series collection is released on DVD. I'm sure I will be one of the first people in line.

My thoughts on LOST so far...

Now, I always said when LOST is over, I would sit down and watch it all together so I wouldn't have to deal with the hiatuses, writer's strikes or anything else. So, the time has come. The day after the series finale, I began with the Pilot and only moments ago, I finished Through the Looking Glass Part 2, which is of course the Season 3 finale. I can go on to say how brilliant this show is, but I would be wasting my breath because everyone already knows that. However, I will say this. The reason this show is brilliant a million times over, is because it not about the story, but how the story is told.

So instead of reviewing the first three seasons, I'm just going to give you a list of my favorite moments so far, and leave my review until after I finish the whole series.

Season 1

1. Boone's death. "Do No Harm" is my favorite episode so far, and it's not just because Ian Somerhalder plays Boone, well, it is if you consider how great of an actor he is. I was crying almost the entire episode, but not just for Boone, for Jack as well. Jack is so desperate to save him, the moment Boone says to let him go, I was hopelessly breaking down. Really. A moment of fantastic acting, writing and directing all at the same time. One of my favorite moments period.

2. Sawyer tells Jack about meeting his father in "Exodus Part 1". Tim warned me about this moment, and he was right. One of the best moments of the series so far. I was so proud of Sawyer for telling the honest truth, and my heart was breaking for Jack all at the same time. LOST acting at its best.

3. "If we don't live together, we're gonna die alone." Will always be classic.

Season 2

1. Jack and Desmond flashback. It doesn't seem like much, but I love this scene when we meet Desmond for the first time, unaware that he would become so important. And we hear one of the most famous LOST lines for the first time. "See ya in another life, Brother."

2. Hurley talks to dead Libby. Hurley has always been used as the comic relief, but this was fabulous. Until this moment, I wasn't sure they were ever going to give another layer to Hurley, but I was so glad they did.

3. I forget which episode it's in, but when awesome Mr. Eko gives Locke the cut section of the orientation film and we hear another famous LOST line. "Do not mistake coincidence for fate."

4. Sawyer calls Jack a friend. It was a very small moment, but did bounds for their relationship with all that would happen in Season 3. Preparing to track Ben down after Michael helped him escape, Sawyer confesses to Jack about sleeping with Ana Lucia. "You're the closest thing I have to a friend."

Season 3 ( I call it the WTF season)

1. Locke's vision of Boone in "Further Instruction". First I have to say bravo to Locke for having the creepiest dreams and visions that always seem to be about Boone. I think Ian Somerhalder accomplished a new level of creepy in this episode.

2. Sawyer and Kate. Now, I do not like these two together, but, what leads up to the love scene in the cage was a great piece of writing and acting. They may not belong together, and even way back when I think they knew it, but this is still an important moment for their relationship.

3. Danny has Sawyer on his knees, and Jack threatens Ben's life in the middle of surgery. This episode is one of the most intense 43 minutes of television I think I have ever watched, especially this one scene. Jack demands Kate and Sawyer's release or he will let Ben bleed out while Danny already has a gun to Sawyer's head. I could not sit still during this scene.

4. Charlie's goodbye to Claire and his goodbye to Desmond on the boat. "Greatest Hits" is probably one of the best episodes of the season, if not the whole series, and I was crying in both of these scenes. It was a bittersweet moment to see Charlie accept his death. I am looking forward to the scene in the next season when Desmond gives Claire the list that Charlie made.

5. The biggest moment of the season, the very last scene when we realize that these are not flashbacks, but flashes in the future and Jack's exclamation to Kate, "We have to go back!" This was HUGE!! Just remember your reaction to it, and that was probably mine as well.

Funniest Episode: "Tricia Tanaka is Dead" This episode was HILARIOUS with some great Hurley and Sawyer moments which are always classic!

I can actually add plenty more to this list, but these are the ones that touched me most. Bring on Seasons 4, 5, and 6!! WOOT!!

'Lost:' Instant reactions

Now that the final episode of "Lost" has aired, we can exhale and give a few instant reactions.

Obviously we'll discuss the show in depth on "Inscaped," but this is just a teaser to what we will be discussing.

While I enjoyed the sentimentality of the episode, there were still a lot of mysteries left unsolved. And though I didn't expect it to answer all my questions, it was clear the producers had no idea where they were going early on.

The last two seasons felt disconnected to the rest of the show and you could almost split the show up into programs.

Yes, we are that nerdy

Before filming today's episode of "Inscaped" Stephanie, Emile and I were discussing "Lost."

We are dead serious about our "Lost" talk. Like nerdy serious.

Emile started drawing a diagram of how the different time lines are working in the show. I got into the act and drew one, then Emile drew another one.

This makes my trying to explain the "Star Trek" alternate time lines look normal in comparison.

I will say that Emile's middle "infinity" diagram does make a lot of sense when you think about it...

"Lost" has become forgettable

A crazy thing happened tonight. I was halfway through the "American Idol" results show when I realized that I had completely forgotten about "Lost."

That's how inconsequential the show has become, that a TV junkie like me forgot that the show was even on.

When I finally did turn the channel, I quickly realized that I wasn't missing anything and went back to watching "Idol."

It seems crazy that both "Lost" and "Heroes" have gone downhill at the same time. I hope they can turn it around because I can only watch so many reruns of "NCIS" before I start thinking I'm part of the team.

"Lost" and "Heroes" should take notes from "24"

"24" is so good I can't sleep for hours after it goes off. Last night's episode was no exception. At first it seemed like another great episode where this time it would be Tony who saves the world, but then in the last minute everything changed and it went from great to brilliant.

We started the hour with Tony inside Starkwood trying to destroy the toxic missiles. With the president's unofficial blessing Tony embarked on his mission. By the way, how great was it when Jack explained presidential politics to Renee, because he's done a lot of secret missions for a lot of presidents.

While Tony was sneaking around Starkwood, Jon Voight was delivering a spectacularly creepy performance as the evil Jonas Hodges.

Hodges and his minion met with the president at the white house and basically blackmailed her into giving him unparalleled access to military secrets. At one point he was so pleased with himself I thought he was going to strut around the oval office like a peacock.

However, in the very next scene the president walked in and arrested him because Tony had succeeded and his plan had failed.

Tony was the hero of the night and he even joined Larry Moss and the FBI in chasing the Starkwood bad guy who had escaped with the last canister of the bio-weapon. I had a bad feeling about Larry's chances all night, so when they cornered the bad guy and he shot Larry I wasn't that surprised.

But, when it turned out the guy was in cahoots with Tony, and Tony killed Larry in cold blood to cover his tracks, I was left speechless.

Now I'm just overloaded with questions. Has Tony been planning this all along? Is he a part of Starkwood? Is this some backward way of saving Jack? What will Jack do when he finds out?

I swear just when I think I have "24" figured out, they pull a bait and switch so fantastic it puts shows like "Heroes" and "Lost" to shame.

I can't wait til next week's episode and the sleepless night that will inevitably follow.

So, more questions again!

I feel like the Riddler at the end of "Batman Forever" when he is babbling about "too many questions..."

They did answer a question that no one ever asked before, that the island is somehow 31 minutes out of sync with everything else. Even though that mystery is itself a giant question...

I have a theory about Miles, but you'll have to watch the next episode of "Viewpoints on..." to find out.

The ending, won't spoil, was surprising. That was a good part.

At least the Smoke Monster was revealed as... wait... Ben doesn't know either!?!

Is it just me or does every place off the island look like Hawaii too? I've been to Inglewood and it doesn't look like that.

$10 says the girl Locke captured is Ben's "man on the boat." Why would an Anthropologist wear a bullet proof vest when the other members of the team didn't? Kind of convienent?

LOST, Episode 4.02 "Confirmed Dead" Recap/Reactions!!!

First off, kudos to ABC for airing last week's episode. Great idea to give people another chance to get into this season. Kind of like saying "Yeah, we've been gone, and we know you're sketchy about coming back, but we'll give you one more chance to think it over."

I'm really excited to see Jeremy Davies (playing Daniel Faraday) on tonight's episode. He's an interesting actor, definately the kind of guy who belongs on Lost.

So let's begin watching LOST, Episode 4.02, "Confirmed Dead"...

Oceanic Flight 815 is found!.... Underwater?! The online game eluded to this. Apparently it has something to do with Desmond's girlfriend's father. So there's some sort of decoy coverup going on. Is it just to stop Penny from looking? I doubt it. Maybe Ben did it to keep people from looking for the island. Is Ben and Penny's father in cahoots?

Daniel Faraday is flatout WEIRD. Something just isn't right there. Is he just some weird savant, or is he hiding something? He's obviously not a covert spy; he just let that A-bomb drop: "Rescuing you....not our primary objective."

DUH. I think we all pieced that together. How about you tell us what you're there for?

Another piece of the insanedom is dropped when Locke shows off his wicked-cool bullet scar. If he hadn't been used and abused by his dad (including having his father con him out of a kidney), Locke would now be dead.

And another random theory from me: If Walt's back and taller, that means he's older, and he's aged fast. If time really is an issue, and Richard (the Other that doesn't seem to age) is still his age, maybe people on the island are in a sort of slowed down time space. Maybe people coming to the island have gone through a year missing Flight 815, when it's only been a month to them. That explains Jack's dad being dead in the flashforward as well.

Then there's Miles. The dude from X3 (I can't recall his name) is pretty good. Nothing really big from him, except how did he know Naomi was dead?!

So...... Miles is a medium..... huh? Was that necessary? Unless he can go to the caves and "speak" to Adam and Eve, I don't see the importance. The survivors already have Desmond for psychic entertainment. And as far as that goes, they have Locke to be weird. I guess they're just upping the antie.

THERE'S the big eyebrow raiser: "The light here... it just doesn't seem to scatter right."

Daniel Faraday either is running around the jungle on shrooms or gave us a brilliant little nugget of a clue. Maybe another one of Dharma's experiments? Maybe altertering light to hide the island? Am I reaching to far?

Granted, I think Miles is a cool character, but the situation that Miles and Jack are in, and how quickly it turned, really makes you want to be Jack's wingman: "Yeah, Miles! HOW STUPID ARE YOU, PUNK?"

Wow, chick with a horrible accent in the desert. Is she British? I don't know. I've heard twelve-year-olds do better accents.

POLAR BEAR?! How did it get there? WHAT? Dharma Bear! AHHH!

I'm guessing a rouge group of polar bears were in route to save the last Dharma polar bear when their chopper went down. I wonder if Sawyer killing the polar bear will have any ill effects between the Oceanic Six and the United Polar Bears union when they get off the island....

Anyways, back to the actual show. Team Locke catches Bad Actress and they have a sort of question and answer segment with a whole lot of akwardness. That is, until John let's her know that they are the survivors who DON'T want to leave.

As Team Jack marches their new "friends" through the forest, hillarity ensues. The love triangle between Jack, Kate and Juliet just got way better. I just laughed really hard at the whole exchange where Jack's kind of caught in the middle. He's bonded with both of these women through their struggle to survive, now he's caught in between. POOR JACK, two beautiful women after him...

Faraday and Sayid have a pleasant conversation with some funny attitude from Miles tossed in. Great scene!

Cool old man. Plus a nice cameo from Greg Grunberg. Guess he has nothing better to do since Dissapointment... I mean, Heroes... is off the air right now.

Oooh.... not his body? That means... Flight 815 is not in the water! GASP! Yeah, let's move it along, we're all aware that there's some kind of hoax going..... oh. Cool Old Man was supposed to fly the plane. That could lead to some very odd things in the future, especially if everyone was predestined to be on the island.

COW! HAHAHAHAHA!!! Sorry, I find that hillarious.

CHOPPER! That's more like it. Now things will start to get desperate. There's a viable way out, so now there's not really a way to further that plotline. So we can focus on the island, right?

Well, there's yet another twist! The strange dude that was after Hugo sent Naomi and the mod squad to the island. What the h---?!

Oh, crap! There's a hit out on Ben! For what though? For killing the Dharma Initiavtive? But then Oceanic is in this with Dharma. It seems there's a whole lot of corporate shenanigans going on.

So, Ben's in danger, he has someone on their boat (Dharma Bear?), and there's a chance for actual rescue.

I'm confused. This episode threw a whole bunch of twists and information at me. They need to start organizing it out or I may end up like Faraday.

The good, the bad and the “Lost”

In a season where less people are watching and those that are watching complain, “Lost” hit a season (dare I say series) high with the Locke flashback episode only to fall flat on its face one week later with the Nikki and Paulo flashback.

Every week I sit down in front of the television Wednesdays at 10 p.m. and say to myself “If they don’t start answering questions, I am going to stop watching.”

And each time more questions are asked instead and I am proven to be a liar.

The Locke flashback provided the answer to the question of “Why was he in a wheelchair?” even though I could care less about that question. Just like with the revelation of Jack’s tattoos, I don’t really care. Although I must say when we did find out why, it was for sure an “Oh crap!” moment, I almost spilled my chocolate milk. I won’t spoil it, but let’s just say that many people on this show have daddy issues. Which brings us to the only downside to this episode… “The magic box.” Ben told Locke that on the island there is a magic box that could make anything you want appear in it. To “prove” it Ben showed Locke that he made Locke’s father appear.

Either Ben is lying (which is HIGHLY likely) or this is some B.S. If he really had a magic box, why did he have to kidnap Jack to help with his surgery? If I had a magic box that could make anything appear, I would make a world class neurosurgeon appear. Not go to all the trouble that he did to get Jack.

The best part of the episode was the acting lesson provided by Terry Quinn (Locke) and Michael Emmerson (Ben). The words “tour de force” are often overused, but are very appropriate for this episode. If these performances don’t garner some awards, then something is wrong.

Two characters that won’t be garnering any awards or goodwill for that matter are Nikki and Paulo. At the start of the season, these two characters were introduced (but had been on the island the entire time with everyone else.) and there was some backlash. People didn’t like that they were taking up camera time that could have went to someone else. They were not on screen much so I didn’t care.

Well, on different occasions the creators and producers of “Lost” kept insisting that the two would play a big part in the show and that they would “be iconic characters.”

Seems like I am not the only liar now.

This week we were treated to Nikki and Paulo’s flashback. Let’s just say they were not nice people, they killed someone, stole diamonds and played a game of cat and mouse with each other on the island for the diamonds. The show then flashbacked to important times on the show and inserted the characters into them. Think Locke and Boone found the drug plane first? Nope.

In the end, they were both killed and a few people were happy. I was more puzzled as to why they even introduced these characters to begin with.

Following such a strong episode with garbage like this was a bad move, but I’ll still find myself with nothing else to do at 10 p.m.
